Two square-rigged ships seen head-on, their hulls and masts laid down in thick black paint against an ochre-yellow ground that darkens to green at the edges, a small pale moon at upper right, work by Robert Bibeau

Untitled

Two ships come at the viewer bow first. Their hulls and rigging are laid down in thick black paint, scraped and dragged across the surface. The ground shifts from a bright ochre yellow at the centre to near-black green at the edges. A small pale moon sits in the upper right corner, and the water is only dark strokes.
