Scary Monsters III

Dozens of faces surface beneath a scatter of dots laid over the whole canvas. The night-blue ground warms toward orange at the bottom. The most legible figures hold to the edges, while the crowd at the centre sinks into the weave.

Reading notes

Pellan worked the stones of his Mini-bestiaire in dots packed tight enough to lose the rock under its own pattern. The same gesture runs here across a population already painted, which the scatter buries without quite erasing.
