A standing female nude, seen from the front, painted on a vertical wood panel. The body is built up in ochre and gold with pale impasto, set against a dark, near-black brown ground. A band of blue water runs at the figure's feet, from which she seems to emerge, in the lineage of the Venus Anadyomene. The edges of the wood are left raw.
