Les chevaux de mer: a found-wood head with varnished orange and yellow grain, mounted on a brass rod and tube set into a rough beam, grey background, work by Robert Bibeau

The seahorses

Twin sculptures, male and female, carved from dense knotted wood. The grain keeps its hollows and knots, lifted by an orange and honey polychromy that follows the figure like an ember. Each seahorse rears at the top of a brass rod, set in a block of raw wood, head high and tail curled.

The seahorses: found wood figure in orange and honey tones, mounted on a brass rod and tube set into a rough timber beam, its long tail dropping to the right.
